I just realized that I have been answering the same question over and over, so I thought perhaps a blog might help. Apparently I am not a very good communicator. Hmmm… Shaunda may be right! We are back in Texas and we will finish out our JOURNEY OF A LIFETIME from right here. I have so much to share with you, but it’s just not quite time yet. But wait till next week!
We leave early Friday morning for our “next to the next to final weekend”. We’re heading to the First Baptist Church of Taft Texas for our final telling of Matt’s story on this initial Journey. You may not know where Taft is, but I will tell you that it is straight inland from Rockport, Texas, where Hurricane Harvey made initial landfall. Shaunda and I figured that it only seems right that we should not take any finances from these folks who are hurting so badly. We also want to leave our message of hope as an encouragement to all. We want to place a copy of TEARS IN A BOTTLE into the hands of everyone who needs it, free of charge.
I’m not sure what that means as far as the number of books we’ll give away, but I figure God already knows that. We sure could use your prayers. Please don’t forget us. You have no idea how important that has been over these last two years, but you will next week; if you watch our JOURNEY’S END video that is.
The Sunday after Thanksgiving (November 26) we will present the Thanksgiving version of STORIES FROM THE ROAD at Paradise Baptist Church in Caddo Mills. The following weekend we will present our Christmas LIVE WORSHIP EVENT in Joshua Texas (south of Fort Worth), and with that, this amazing two-year Journey will come to an end.
But WILL THERE BE A YEAR THREE? We’ll answer that one next week.
