Here’s today’s view from my window. We are back in Texas (again) and we should finish our two-year JOURNEY OF A LIFETIME based here. I can’t believe these two years are nearly over, but we still have some exciting things planned for these last few weeks. We will be telling Matt’s story at ROSE HILL BAPTIST CHURCH in Mineola Texas this Sunday, one trip out of town and finally Caddo Mills, Texas. Add to that a Christmas concert or two and we will be at the end of the road.
On the weekend before Thanksgiving, we are scheduled at First Baptist Church of Taft. If you are not sure where Taft Texas is, let me tell you that it is near Corpus Christi, directly inland of Rockport. Sound familiar? We want to do something special here. Since this is our last out of town trip of the two years and in view of Harvey’s impact, we want make this trip a mission trip of sorts. Whatever offering we receive, we’d like to donate back to this Church. We’re also planning to make a copy of TEARS IN A BOTTLE to everyone in attendance free of charge. Not even putting out the little black box. Please pray for us that we might be able to touch the lives of the hurting folks in that area.
On the week before Thanksgiving we are planning to release our END OF THE JOURNEY video. Here is where we will answer the question WILL THERE BE A YEAR 3? I imagine that the answer to this question will surprise you, it sure did me. I never saw it coming in advance, but I sure can see it clearly now in the rearview.
And something I’m really excited about, ON THE VIRGE, THE JOURNEY OF A LIFETIME, the book that chronicled this Journey in detail as it happened is in the final editing process. Many of you have faithfully followed this blog, so you have read some of the chapters. There is much, much more in this 300 plus page book. The first chapters were written almost three years before the Journey began. Here’s the working title and byline to give you a clue
